L Bebe

"creative lyrics that induce political and social awareness"

Achieving success and longevity in the music business is all about defying the norm and setting yourself apart as an artist. Puerto Rican Reggaeton artist L. Bebe [Luis Rodriguez] has a leg up on the competition from his creative lyrics that induce political and social awareness [“Nino Innocente” a song about child abuse], to his worldly viewpoints about life’s struggle.

Luis was born in Puerto Rico and has lived in New England and New York City with his daughter Daysmarie for over eight years.  He is currently working on his new album titled “Solo contra Todo” to be released in July 2010. The album is being produced in New York City by “Estudio de Mejores Music”.

In the past L. Bebe has worked with a variety of studios [Caribe Production Studios, Puerto Rico] and beat makers, such as “DJ.G”, who also reside in Puerto Rico. Luis is no stranger to the “bright lights” of the stage.

He has performed in New York hot spot “Platinum Club” and many local Rhode Island venues. In addition, he not only participated, but finished second in Puerto Rico’s Annual solo artist competition in both 1996 and 1997.

L Bebe’s enthusiasm during this interview was both entertaining and inspiring. I hope to follow up with him and his group after the release of their new album in July.
